All data and calculations on this page are based on the average daily rate per
calendar month for ZAR/USD

HISTORICAL EXCHANGE RATE SUMMARY: ZAR/USD
Average (Last 12 Months)        8.61
Average (Last 10 Years)          7.39
High (Last 12 Months)             9.19   (March, 2013)
Low (Last 12 Months)              8.15   (May, 2012)

The South African Rand exchange rate for April, 2013 averaged 9.11 ZAR to
USD. That's 7.9 basis points lower than the March, 2013 rate of 9.19, and 128
basis points higher than the April, 2012 rate of 7.83.  The minor movement in
the ZAR/USD exchange rate from March to April provides evidence that the
short term trend in ZAR/USD is relatively flat. If that trend continues in the
currency market, we should see an average daily rate in May, 2013 that is close
to 9.03.

The average South African Rand conversion rate over the last 12 months was
8.61. The average rate over the last 10 years was 7.39.  A higher South African
Rands to US Dollars exchange rate over the last 12 months compared to the
average rates over the last 10 years serve as an indicator that the long term
trend in ZAR/USD is up (strengthening US Dollar against the South African
Rand).

lowest was 8.15. The market high was attained in March, 2013. The market low
